The Foreign Rights Department

The Foreign Rights Department of The Israeli Association Of Book Publishers Ltd. operates as a service to the publishers in Israel, to obtain the best translation rights deals to enable the publishers to translate books into Hebrew.

 

While the publishers and agencies abroad directly represent the authors, our department represents these publishers and agencies in Israel and it is the duty of the foreign rights department to expose their books to the publishing houses in Israel. This enables us to provide the country with the most new and relevant information on the books in order for them to be translated into Hebrew.

 

The department represent Fiction in all genres, Nonfiction, Young Adult, Middle Grade and most children's books of all ages.

 

In addition to the rights to translation into Hebrew, we license rights to electronic books and audio books we attend two international book fairs.

These book fairs are an opportunity to get to know the faces behind the annual correspondence, to create personal and informal contact  and to establish new contacts.
